23-year-old Jason Poss was shot and killed by Spokane Police July 10 after attacking a woman, her dog, and threatening officers in North Spokane.
SPOKANE-- Hundreds of pages have been released in the investigation of a fatal Spokane Police officer related shooting this summer.
Jason Poss beat a woman with a skateboard then stabbed her dog with a butcher knife before Spokane Police shot and killed him. This summer, KREM 2 News talked to a neighbor who accused police of shooting Poss while he was on the ground.
Now the report is out, and investigators say the officer's actions were justified. The report says police tried to talk to Poss, they tazed him and cornered him. Poss had been suicidal and possibly on drugs. Officers on the scene say they were afraid for their lives.
